Interested in Baptism?

We are so excited that you are interested in taking your faith public through baptism. Whether you have just begun a relationship with Jesus or have been a long time Jesus-follower, baptism is an important step of obedience for every person who has accepted Jesus Christ as savior. Being in front of a crowd or the idea of baptism can be scary for some people, so we want to help you understand what baptism is and why it is important.

Jesus gave his followers instruction to baptize each other in Matthew 28:18-20. Baptism is an act of obedience that represents the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus through submersion in water. Simply put, it is something we do to show we have a relationship with God, not something that gives us the relationship. Thinking of it like a wedding ring is helpful. The ring doesn’t make the relationship, but it does show there is a relationship.
