What is a Community Group?

Community Groups are gatherings of eight to twelve individuals that meet weekly for fellowship, Bible study and prayer.  They are for adults of all ages, stages of life and spiritual maturities.  Each group, with the help of their Community Group Leader, picks their own curriculum to study from a list of recommended curriculum.

When and where do Community Groups meet?

Our groups generally meet Monday through Friday for about an hour and a half at a group member’s house.  The meeting times may vary, however both morning and evening groups are available.  Groups typically meet three weeks out of the month and either take a week off or do a social activity together. Many groups take the summer and holidays off.

Are there different types of Community Groups?

All Community Groups vary. Most of the groups are focused on connecting people who are in the same stage of life.  For example, we have some groups that are married with young children, other groups that are empty-nesters, we have men’s and women’s groups, and we also have open groups that anyone can join.  Most of our groups do not provide childcare, but those that do will give you more details once you join.

How do I join a Community Group?

Quarterly, we organize a Group Link event. During that event, you will meet Group Leaders, mingle with others that are interested in joining a group, and choose which group to join. In between our Group Link events, we maintain a list of groups with current openings, as well as provide training and resources for those interested in leading a group during the next cycle.
