Current Series: The Waiting Room
What do you do when you don't know what to do?
What do you do during those seasons in life when it seems like you are out of moves, and you don't know where to turn?
Or what about those seasons when it just doesn't seem like God hears you? Those seasons where your current experience doesn't line up with the God you've been taught in Sunday school?
#CCTheWaitingRoom
Welcome to Centerpoint Church.
We know Tampa doesn’t need just another church. The Tampa Bay area needs an alternative to church as usual. A church that tears down every unnecessary barrier so that people feel safe to come as they are and to hear about Jesus, regardless of whether or not they buy into everything we say.
Here at Centerpoint, you’ll meet a diverse gathering of real people who believe in Jesus and want to see our city changed by His love. Come as you are! Whether you are a Jesus follower, atheist, agnostic, or skeptic, we’ve designed our environments with you in mind. We want you to know we are in your corner and you aren’t alone. None of us are perfect, but Jesus is and we are HIS church. So, don’t change anything before you come. Just be you.
See you soon.
What to Expect
We know it can be intimidating, walking into a new church for the first time. Centerpoint is designed to make that first visit as simple and welcoming as possible. When you pull into the parking lot, you'll be greeted by our parking team, who will show you where to pull your car and can direct you to the entrances. If you have kids between the ages of 6 months and 5th grade, then we invite you to bring them over to Centerpoint Kids, where they can enjoy age-appropriate games, music, and lessons in a safe, secure, and kid-friendly environment. Just follow the signs to Kids Check In--you can't miss it! We also have lots of friendly people stationed in the lobby and the children's environment to point the way or answer your questions.
When you reach our lobby, be prepared for a warm welcome. Our First Impressions team will open the door, throw you a smile, and help you find a seat. Need a pick-me-up? Stop by the cafe in our lobby for a cup of coffee, on the house. Our services are about 70-minutes long, designed to introduce people to the message of Jesus and equip believers to live their lives in response to the Gospel. We incorporate great music, creative media, and relevant messages so that our services are current, immersive and easy to understand.
Our worship is loud and our service is passionate because God’s grace is overwhelming. We will be honest about what we believe, but you’ll never feel the pressure to buy into it. Our goal is for you to feel safe, loved, and encouraged to return-- regardless of what you believe. We truly believe that the church should be the safest place for people of all ages, races, ethnicities, and backgrounds to learn about God, worship, and struggle through the many challenges that face us all in our daily lives. We hope that after you attend, you leave refreshed and reinvigorated to face whatever life throws at you. That you, with us, will want to make the world a better place.
If you have questions following any of our services, please stop by Connect Point in the lobby. You’ll meet a friendly host who will answer your questions and provide you with resources from our various ministries. Fill out a Connect card and we'll even give you a free gift.
What Do I Wear?
Centerpoint is a casual environment so you’ll find people dressed in a wide variety of styles. Dress, hair, piercings, and tattoos don’t matter to us. Just be yourself and come the way you’ll be the most relaxed to enjoy the experience.
