A Letter from Our Pastor
My wife, Nicole, and I want to personally invite you to check out Centerpoint Church.
Centerpoint Church was launched as “an alternative to church as usual.” Our heartbeat is to be a church where long-time followers of Jesus could grow in their faith and, simultaneously, people could investigate faith. So, for us “an alternative to church as usual” means: the safest place in the world for anybody struggling with anything; welcoming every person--from every background imaginable--and answering questions people are asking; serving the people in the community; and being all about Jesus. So, if you are a Jesus follower, we want to help you grow in your relationship with Jesus. And, if you are investigating the claims of Jesus, we want you to know that this is a safe place to do that. In fact, you can belong here before you ever believe.
We are a movement on mission, in our city and in our world, to amplify the name of Jesus and to lead people to experience the love and grace He offers.
We are not perfect. But Jesus is. Thankfully, we are a Jesus church.
Nicole and I hope you'll join us soon--we are excited to meet you.
-Bryant Golden, Lead Pastor
It is our mission to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ through connecting, serving and reaching.
We imagine a church...
...that is accessible and welcoming to every type of person imaginable.
...for the religious, the irreligious, the skeptic, the cynic, those without hope, those feeling lost, and those who are giving this one more shot.
...that is doing everything possible to not make it difficult for people who are turning to God.
...where the message of grace is her heartbeat.
...that is the safest place in the world for anyone to struggle with anything.
...where there is no addiction, no dysfunction, no habit, no sin that keeps people on the outside of pursuing Christ.
...that is the physical representation of Jesus in our city, and eventually, our nation.
...that goes to the darkest places with light.
...that welcomes the religious, political, social, sexual outcasts into our homes.
...that engages with the people we spend our entire lives moving away from, but Jesus spent his entire ministry moving towards.
...that has a voice for those that don't have a voice as individuals made in the image of God.
...of sanctified dreamers and people who pray big to shape their city with the unending, never-runs-out, love of Jesus.
Intimacy with God
God desires an intimate relationship with each of us.
God has spoken to us through the Bible and we recognize it as the final authority for our lives.
Every environment should be designed to effectively connect with its target audience.
God’s message of forgiveness through Christ is most effectively conveyed within the context of personal relationships.
Accountability, belonging, care, and spiritual growth happen best with relationally connected believers.
Our spiritual gifts have maximum impact when exercised in support of our strategy.
We are responsible for passing along to others the knowledge, skills, and opportunities that have been entrusted to us.
Promote Multi-Cultural Community
We take intentional steps to create a multi-cultural church that is representative of the surrounding community.
