I grew up in the Tampa Bay area watching my dad pastor for thirty years, and through his example, I developed a deep love for the local church. During my college years, God began to give me a vision for a church that would be an alternative to church as usual. I remember thinking, “This area doesn’t need another church—it needs a different kind of church.” I dreamed of a place where people from all kinds of backgrounds could come as they are, where barriers could be torn down, and where people could find freedom and live with hope. In 2010, that vision became a reality when I became the Lead Pastor of Centerpoint.

Today, Nicole and I are incredibly grateful for what Centerpoint has become, but our heart remains the same. We want Centerpoint to be a place where everyone is welcome, where your story matters, where you can be honest about where you are, and where you can discover a God who loves you more than you could imagine. We believe church should help people find meaningful community, grow in their faith, and become all that God created them to be. Whether you’ve been around church your whole life or you’re just beginning to explore what faith could look like for you, our hope is that you’ll find a place here where you belong.
